We're amazed year after year by all the support and fun creations we receive from the Desert Bus community. Here's some submissions that you've shared with us this year...

I've paired foundational script with the gravity and PUNCH of textura quadrata, alongside the @loadingreadyrun crystal heart in lymphoma lime-green.#desertbus #db2022 pic.twitter.com/RAdgLAZUa7
Painting some Fallout terrain and because @DesertBus is happening that means we are adding references. For #AlphaFlight we have a skeleton with a Declaration of Kindness pinned to it, because you need to declare your kindness wars. pic.twitter.com/mAl7WoWlbg

Since I hadn't posted a photo of it this year, here is my current @DesertBus-themed purse/ita bag hand-drawn insert with my full pin collection. (Yes, I got the new one.) I'll probably update with a new insert next year but I still like this one! #DB2022

Desert Bus for Hope is supported by many fantastic humans behind the scenes. And supporting those humans are their furry friends! We asked the volunteers and mods to introduce us to their pals... and we got so many submissions! We'll be posting these on a recurring basis throughout the run.

Tusket
from Arclight_Dynamo
This is Tusket. He appears adorable here, but is in fact a goblin.
Taco, Admiral Gial Catbar, Leonard (de Quirm) and Leliana
from Emily Jarrett
Taco loves a Thomas, Admiral Gial Catbar is majestic, Leonard (de Quirm) forgets his tongue is out, and Leliana is a cuddle seeking missile.

Moose
from Dix and the_sub_ocean
This is Moose, the bestest rescue boy. Currently doin' a heckin good job at learning how to be a big brother to a tiny human.
Maple
from Matt Wiggins
This is Maple! She’s 12 weeks old, and loves long walks, treats, and the taste of human flesh. She can be found online at @goldenmaple.dog on TikTok and Instagram

Jasmine and Issun
from Soraya
Jasmine and Issun! Jasmine is nine months old and Issun is nine years old. He suffers greatly at her naughty paws.
We'd like to take a moment to thank one of our sponsors for this year's event: The Garages!

The Garages is an anarcho-syndicalist blaseball band from the fictional location of Seattle. They make songs about being gay, the apocalypse, and fighting the gods.
In case you missed it, you can check out the replay from this year's Coyote Wall x The Garages performance on YouTube. And you can buy the album for the performance and other merch over at Bandcamp, with proceeds going to Child's Play.
Thank you, The Garages, for supporting Desert Bus for Hope!

Today on Alpha Flight, SungWon Cho (he/him) will be calling in, starting at 3:00pm PST!
I'm a voice actor and do YouTube too.
Got a question for SungWon? Send us your questions via email to askaquestion@desertbus.org before 2:45pm PST with the subject line "SungWon Cho Q&A." Please include the name you'd like to go by on air and your pronouns. One question per submitter, please!

We've challenged the community to create portraits for this year's Alpha Flight D&D characters. Here's a quick summary of the characters in this year's campaign...
- Briar - A fey pact human warlock. Solidly built but not terribly tall.
- Umbau Fleetwood - A human fighter. Behaves like Batman sitting on rooftops with mud, soot, and draped clothing. Carries two flails under his oversized poncho.
- Talus von Shmalus - "Fancy boy" fighter in shiny new armor. Definitely a hardened mercenary and not an exiled noble, really knows what he's doing.
- Zouzelka - A human cleric of bugs, ants in particular. Bugs are always around her and in her hair and armor plates. Wears dirty hardened leather armor.
- Fulchim - An elf member of the New Harbour militia. Has a magic blue longsword that floats behind her and has a will of its own. Tall and lean, jet black hair, milky pale skin, light blue eyes.
Submit your creations to contest@desertbus.org with the subject line "D&D 2022 Characters" Please attach your submission as one JPG or PNG. Also include the name you'd like to go by and your pronouns should we show your submission on-air. We'll accept submissions until 4:30pm PST. The winner will receive a Desert Bus 2022 t-shirt!

Hello and welcome to Dawn Cardigan Day! Most of us wore cardigans. That's the bit.
Here's some more of what happened during today's Dawn Guard...
Round three of Coffee Pong.

For today's game show, we played a round of You Don't Know Jack.
Joe made ice cream for an ice cream breakfast!
Liz and James play an intense round of Jenga.
And we check in on the Minecraft server.

Every year Card Kingdom gifts us many sheets of magic cards for our run. They're beautiful, rarer than the cards themselves, and this one could be YOURS!
Log in to or sign up for a Donor Account, then donate $9.26, or multiples thereof, before 11:30am PST for your chance to win this prize! Seriously, this one is worth trying for.

Join the Gatewatch and face down Bolas with this incredible sheet of mythic and rare cards from War of the Spark. Join Jace to Ignite the Beacon, and bear witness to the Elderspell. Hear the Oath of Kaya and see the fall of the Elder Dragon.
Not only does this sheet retell the story of the War, but also, it has numerous other built-in features, such as covering up large areas of boringly blank or generally unattractive wall space, glinting charmingly in the sunlight and making all your Magic-playing friends thoroughly, unutterably, endlessly jealous. This uncut sheet of Magic cards contains all of the Rare and Mythic Rare cards from War of the Spark in premium foil.
Yet again we bring you the silent auctions that you could possibly win! But you have to get there and get your bids in before you run out of time. These both end at 10am PST!

If you've ever watched or read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, you know that the one thing you never want to forget is your towel. So why not have a full set of towels based on the book?! So if that sounds like something you'd enjoy, get over there and bid!

And next we have this lovely dice box themed after Desert Bus for Hope! The details all across this box is amazing and it's perfect for any TTRPG.

Yet again we are inmensly grateful to Fernwood Coffee Company for fueling us through our DB2022 run....literally. The amount of coffee we consume is impressive, and they continue to provide for us, no matter how weird we get.

Fernwood was established in 2007 through a shared passion for connecting community, places and rituals through coffee.

"We are a group of obsessive roasters and competitive baristas, constantly experimenting and pushing ourselves. Over the years, we’ve researched extensively to roast, brew and take every step necessary to ensure each sip is perfect. We make distinctive coffee that reflects our devotion to the quality, community and culture in our Vancouver Island neighbourhood of Fernwood – where it all started."
