These Silent Auctions Are Jarring

Two new and exciting silent auctions just started up! You have until 10am PST, so keep checking back to watch numbers go "Brrrrrrrrr"!

The first of our two auctions is a Stuffed Iron Fist Alexander, donated by crafter Blaine/BrainStew!

Stuffed plush of the Elden Rings character Iron Fist Alexander, a earthenware jar with arms

This warrior jar is stuffed polyfill and plastic beads, but not the corpses of great warriors, thankfully. His body is made of minky fabric and his lid of velvet. He is fully stitched by hand, since machine sewing would have made his delicate hands and shape hard to achieve at this small size. His craggy arms can be released from the usual pensive pose and reset if desired. He is weighted so he sits nice on a shelf or any surface without toppling over.

Current high bid is $420.69

The second silent auction in this pair is a Desert Bus 2021 Hat, donated by Charlie Victor

Toboggan hat, with white top and bottom. Middle is rows of yarn in Desert Bus shift colors

This hat is Desert Bus 2021 knitted for your head. Each colored stripe represents one shift of Desert Bus 2021 in Schmutzerella's yarns, with a special metallic green thread in the "Homega" shift to shine where we crossed one million dollars! This is a soft slouchy beanie that will stretch to fit a very large human head. All yarn is superwash merino wool and it should be hand washed with gentle soap in cold water and laid flat to dry.

Current high bid is $133.70

Silent Auctions, Nudge Nudge, Wink Wink

You're quickly running out of time to bid on these two wonderful silent auctions! They are running until 2am PST, so snipers get sniping!!

First up on the docket, the Somewhere In Between Tucson And Vegas tapestry, donated by crafter Lisa Clauson!

Hanging wall tapestry, showing the road from Tucson to Vegas, heading towards the horizon. The air freshener tree icon is in the top middle

This item is a hand woven wool tapestry, with a sturdy linen warp and a knotted pile air freshener fir in the center. Taking well over 500 hours to make and using 28 different blends of colour, it measures 155 cm wide and 100 cm tall. It comes with a linen backing fabric sewed on, ready to go up on your wall. If the backing is removed, it can also be a rug! It comes with care instructions and a Certificate of Authenticity, and was crafted in a pet and smoke free studio.

Current high bid is $6,000.49

Next, a Legend Of Zelda Pixel Art Blanket, donated by crafter Yalc321!

Queen sized green blanket, with the Hyrule crest stretching over almost the entire blanket

This Hyrule Crest Shield pixel art blanket was hand crocheted and sewn over the course of around 115 hours. It is made up of 625 individually crocheted squares, that were then hand stitched together. The blanket is all natural, being made from Lily And Cream brand 100% cotton 4 ply yarn. Weighing in at 80.6 ounces or about 2285 grams, this blanket contains about 2.2 miles or 3.5 kilometers of yarn. It is about 63 inches or 160 cm in each direction, making it a perfect topper for any queen size bed.

Current high bid is $4,200

The clarion call of the Target kids rang loud, and it rang clear, and over 60 loyalists answered over the course of mere hours. Look upon them: the triumphant and inspiring propaganda for (or against) Target Kids.

Congratulations to DoomsdayLLC for winning this challenge! And thank you to everyone who sent us so many wonderful submissions that it took over an hour to judge them.

Runners Up

A poster that says "NOPE" in the Obama font, but the image is of a child and the O is a Target logo.
By: Kadmos

A hand-drawn graphic of a child standing next to the Target dog mascot and holding up a Target logo, regarding it with shining eyes. A speech bubble reads "No gods! No masters! No bedtimes!"
By: Abbie

A red and white poster that reads "Stay on Target." The top half of the poster is red and shows silhouetted spear points. A diagonal line cuts across the bottom right side of the poster, where the Target logo appears with three drips of blood.
By: Dillon Pentz

Third Place

A detailed illustration of adults wielding sickles and hammers or waving flags with the target logo. Above them, a round personification of the Target logo points fiercely to the sky. The text reads: "You have nothing to lose but your walking reins. Rise up! Children of all aisles unite!"
By: Rebornflames
A poster labeled "Neon Genesis Targelion." It shows the silhouette of the Target dog looming like a blimp over the horizon. A small child stands in the foreground, back to the camera, and head positioned exactly level with the Target logo on the dog's eye. Small text beneath the image repeats various Target Kid donation messages and amounts.
By: SchalaKitty
A dark gold and red poster with a Target logo that overlays a faint, stylized outline of an eye. There's a six-storey office building, empty except for one human silhouette in a top window. The text says: "They got into the big coats... They could be anyone... Have you checked YOUR aisles for TARGET KIDS? It could happen here! It could happen any here!"

Guest Call: Travis Eriksen, Executive Director of Child's Play

A picture of Travis Eriksen, a pale-skinned person with short brown hair who is sitting in front of a shelf full of gaming accessories. He looks big and strong and definitely lifts.

Today on Night Watch, we're happy to host Travis Eriksen from Child's Play! Travis, we do a lot of weird bussing things here in the name of fundraising for Child's Play and hope we don't embarrass you too much. Only just enough.

Travis is the Executive Director of Child's Play, and also the orchestrator of the Omegathon at PAX. He joined Child's Play after teaching Middle School math for 15 years, but that was 6 years ago so no pop algebra quizzes please. Tapping his background he has helped Child's Play move toward not only giving games and tech away but also to become a teaching recourse in how to use games as an intentional part of therapy.

He has always leaned toward PC gaming, growing up playing the Sierra classics like Kings Quest, Space Quest, and Police Quest (there were a lot of quests), and when he is not running Child's Play or making up diabolical rules for the Omegathon he is playing games with his two sons or lifting weights (you should tell him he looks big and strong, that's all he really wants in life).
