We'd like to take a moment to thank one of our sponsors of this year's event: Ysbryd Games!

Ysbryd Games logo.

Ysbryd Games is a publisher that is looking for spirited independent game developers who hunger to create games with magic. They provide a rock-solid bridge for every step of the video game publishing journey: fundraising, polishing, and marketing. They’ve seen lots of hopeful indie devs get derailed by the realities and difficulties of video game publishing; they’ve walked the road themselves and are here to help out.

Thank you, Ysbryd Games, for your support of Desert Bus for Hope!

Upcoming Live Auction: Daring Fables

We've got a Live Auction coming up today on Alpha Flight! Today at 3pm PST, we'll be auctioning Daring Fables: Display Books with Gaming Miniatures.

Have you ever been drawn so deeply into a story that you almost feel the characters jump off the page? The 'Daring Fables' set makes that wish a reality!

This "Dice Friends" display set includes 54 miniatures, each modified and painted as characters from 10 'actual play' game campaigns hosted on the LoadingReadyRun and Desert Bus channels. Dashing bards and strong-willed warlocks? Clever androids and road-rage vampires? They're all here!

Minis use the most popular gaming scale (28mm, or ~1:56), good for display or tabletop gaming. At 1" to 2" inches tall (2.5-5cm), they are tiny yet detailed!

As a bonus, 8 books have been upcycled into hollow containers with magnetized covers. Ranging from 8" to 10" tall (20-25cm), they are filled with removable lining for safe mini storage. When empty, they double as a closable dice tray or secret hiding space.

Minis are double-sealed and pinned for added durability. They can survive accidental drops, but avoid heavy handling. Display books are reinforced with resin and glue. Avoid water, but small tears can be easily repaired with white glue.

Over 8 months of planning, work, and love were poured into this project. Give it a good home!

Live Auctions are run in our Twitch channel chat over at twitch.tv/desertbus. In order to participate in Live Auctions, you'll need to sign up for a Donor Account, then link it to your Twitch account. You can do so from the Donor Account page here on desertbus.org. If you're bidding, watch the chat for updates, as the stream may be on a delay!

After some confusing messages and crossed signals, Alpha Flight desires peace with the other shifts. We have been gifted with Timbits, olives, and cleaning up the set, and so we must now respond in-kind with our own message. That's where we need your help!

We're challenging the community to come up with their interpretation of a greeting card declaring peace from Alpha Flight to the other shifts, with the customary exchange of small round foods.

Send your creations to contest@desertbus.org with the subject line "Peace Greeting Card". Please submit your entry as one PNG or JPG. Also, please be sure to include the name you'd like to go by (and your pronouns if you'd like to do so) should we show your submission on-air and on the blog.

Submit your creations by 4:30pm PST. The winner will receive a Desert Bus for Hope 2022 t-shirt!

HO HO HO Christmas Came to Dawn Guard!

Good morning and merry Christmas to you all! Oh, it's November? Well, it was Christmas to us!

Gif of the Dawn Guard crew opening a wrapped present.

This morning we were visited by Santa James, who came bearing gifts for everyone (including himself)! There was fun had by all, including the assembly of our very own light up race track!

Gif of a light up race track running on the floor of the studio.

We then had coffee pong and, believe it or not, James...WON?!?!

Dawn Guard Coffee Pong box score. James wins 6-3. Serge leads series 3-2. Match time: 8 minutes 32 seconds.

JagaSilk called in to talk about tea.

We reached $9 MILLION lifetime raised for Child's Play!

Today's Game Show is I Literally Just Told You, a memory game... which might be a lot for our sleep-deprived Dawn Guard crew...

We inventory the absurd amount of copper needed to make a road sign.

And finally, Serge plugs coffee soda.

Remember, for the latest updates, stay tuned to desertbus.org. You can also catch up on the latest #DB2022 happenings around the web...

First up we have our sweet jar boy Iron Fist Alexander, stuffed and ready to cuddle! He's even got movable arms, so he can hug you right back...if you want of course.

Next is this wonderful DB2021 knitted hat! Each colored stripe represents one shift of Desert Bus 2021 in Schmutzerella's yarns, with a special metallic green thread in the "Homega" shift to shine where we crossed one million dollars!
