Espionage Cosmetics is a woman-owned niche make-up company based in Tacoma, WA and founded in 2011. They create make-up for nerds because.. well they’re nerds too! So you’ll often find them at comic books stores and conventions. They claim their nail wraps will keep your fingers looking in mint condition for weeks and their lip serums help make you look shiny! And who wouldn’t want to be shiny?

The story that will NEVER die, this time we made it slightly more exaggerated. It was….interesting to be listening too.

You might remember MC117 from Desert Bus 7 when we were presented with “Bus Stop”, a parody of Thrift Shop by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. We loved it, broke a good few members of the team with how good it was and gave us a new theme song!

This year we got an EVEN BIGGER SURPRISE from MC117. He had teamed up with The Doubleclicks and Mega Ran in order to create an original piece of music as our theme. Here it is in all of it’s glory.

WOW! You guys are insane, I can’t believe how much we raised for this sword! The final total raised was $14,626.63 with our grand winner being…NO DONOR ACCOUNT (AGAIN?!). We smashed the start of Billsmom shift, let’s keep this craziness up!

John Kovalic is best known for Dork Tower, a comic book, comic strip, and webcomic. He is the co-founder and co-owner of Out of the Box Publishing. He has illustrated many board and card games including the “Super Deluxx” edition of Kobolds Ate My Baby!, Apples to Apples, and the Munchkin card game.

Speaking of Munchkin, John Kovalic has very generously donated to Desert Bus a signed copy of  Munchkin with Desert Bus Card. We’ll be giving that away sometime between 10am – 10pm PST on Nov 20th. So last year Billsmom was reimagined as Billzmom, The Matron of Giants. Her new planeswalker persona has stuck since and we’re bringing that theme back for her art challenge this year. The photo linked above is a shot that Billsmom took in New Mexico and is her inspiration for this challenge. On the line is the Billzmom Planeswalker card Lenticular GIF, and the pig has been sweetened by Billsmom herself with a Death of Superman Comic!

Bill is an American writer and performer known for his work as the voice and puppeteer of Crow T. Robot (v.2.0) on the cult television show Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K). He also played an omnipotent dim witted alien, The Observer (also known as “Brain Guy”) along with other minor roles on MST3K.

As a playwright and screenwriter his body of work includes the screenplay, Starship Dave (released as the Eddie Murphy comedy Meet Dave), and the plays The Big Slam, Hate Mail, The Stuff of Dreams, and Super-Powered-Revenge-Christmas #1. He is also a contributing writer to NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion and All Things Considered.

Bill reunited with his MST3K teammates Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy to create Rifftrax, which creates MST3K style riff audio commentaries for movies of all sorts from blockbuster hits to B-movies to educational short films.
