We must be driving through an empty canyon, because we swear that there’s an echo when we shout. Listen, see if you can hear it:
Humble Bundle Bundle undle, undle, undle…
Oh gosh. Maybe we should have kept our voices down, because here comes an avalanche – of games! This year’s Humble Bundle (undle undle undle) contains wonderful games such as Carto, Unpacking, The Wild at Heart, and Dodgeball Academia. If we get out of this canyon safely, it could be yours!
Donate $5.14 or multiples thereof by 10pm PT to catch this landslide of goodness!

We’ve been driving this bus for a day now to raise money for the children, so we’re happy to welcome a special guest from Child’s Play: Tabitha Sheehan!

Tabitha (she/her they/them) has been the Community and Program Coordinator for Child’s Play for three years, which means she manages Amazon wishlists for the hospitals and collaborates with streamers like ourselves – among many other talents! Welcome to the USS Tucson, Tabby!
We’d like to take a moment to thank one of our returning Prize Sponsors for this year’s Desert Bus for Hope: The Garages!
The Garages are an anarcho-syndicalist Blaseball band from the fictional location of Seattle, and have created Desert Bus themed songs as well as merch in the past. Though they’re mostly known for making songs about being gay, fighting gods, and all other things Blaseball.
In addition to donating prizes to this year’s event, we’ll also be seeing them live on Desert Bus starting 8PM PT on November 14th.
Thank you Garages for your support of Desert Bus for Hope!
If your grandfather gives you a house so you can rebuild your life out in the countryside, one of the first things you’ll need is a blanket to keep you warm. Fortunately, this Stardew Valley Quilt is the perfect fit for those cold winter nights!

Earlier today in Alpha Flight’s shift, we challenged the community to create subtractive poetry using the Bard class description. Here’s the winning submission, by Pigeon Rose:
she traces the magic knowledge
of the people
the monument
the saga
Laughing as she tunes her subtle magic words
to inspire minds
create
heal
existence echoes throughout the cosmos
harness those echoes
strength is necessary
to do anything well
Learning from the world
is A life spent wandering
gathering stories
and living on the gratitude
of magic
rarely settle
travel
find new tales beyond the horizon
Every adventure is an opportunity to learn
decipher old tomes
travel to strange places
witness many stories
take these themes to heart
thrive on magical music
strike out on your own
runaway
life
Freedom
Congrats to our winner! Here’s a couple of additional runner-up submissions from our community…
Lore and Lies
A well received scoundrel
Weaves words to manipulate
Words are just vibrations
But with power they shape
Their common jester cavorting
In to the true life spent
accomplishing mighty deeds
Heroic and important
You paint yourself as worthy
But these be dancing charm
Word as simple weapons
Are part of your repertoire
You cast your spell with words
Choose who to attack, who dies
The audience might be honest
And share lore and lies

Of course we’re big fans of Magic: the Gathering around here, and we’re known for some rather special M:tG giveaways. So how about a giveaway for this War of the Spark Japanese Booster Box?
Nicol Bolas’s plan has been set into motion. With his army of eternals he has invaded Ravnica. Worse, he’s lured Planeswalkers from all over the multiverse and trapped them there as part of his plot to harvest all their sparks. Can the Gatewatch rally together to stop the megalomaniacal dragon? Find out in War of the Spark. Containing 36 draft booster packs in Japanese, these packs can include alt-art planeswalkers with manga-inspired art from Japanese artists, including Yoshitaka Amano.

It’s almost time for our FIRST Live Auction of Desert Bus for Hope 2021. And oooh boy do we’ve got a super crafty lot up for grabs with this Sandman Cross Stitch, crafted by longtime Craft-Along crafter Sarah Serinde. We’re running this auction starting at 3:00pm PST today!
Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series is full of engrossing stories and beautiful art, and The Sandman: Overture is no different. Based on the book’s gorgeous artwork by J.H. Williams III and Dave Stewart, this cross stitch features Morpheus soaring towards home against the colourful background of the Dreaming. It took roughly 350 hours to stitch over the course of four months, and uses 111 colours of thread. The hand-dyed fabric has an opalescent shimmer to it, and there are hints of sparkle in Dream’s robes. The piece measures 10.25 by 14.25 inches, and is framed in masterwork acrylic, which is lightweight, shatterproof, and protected from UV rays.
It’s been a while since we’ve done a Live Auction, so let’s cover how to participate…
