Last year, Tara challenged the community to bake a delicious Desert Bus treat! This year, to kick off Liz & Tara’s shift, we’re challenging the community to come up with their take on a Desert Bus recipe.
The key aspect of this challenge is that we’re looking for a recipe. We’d love to see pictures of your creations too, but it’s not required as part of this challenge.
Send your recipes to contest@desertbus.org with the subject line “Desert Bus Recipe.” Recipes should be sent as a .txt or .md file, or included in the text of the email. If you’d also like to include a picture, please send it in .png or .jpg format so we can include it on the blog. Please be sure to include the screen name we should use for you on air should your submission win.
The winner of this contest will get a Pokeball Pendant, which has been sweetened with a set of custom stickers and a bottle of ultra fresh air freshener tree sprinkles! You’ll have until 2:00am PST to submit your entries.

We did an AMA today over at reddit! We answered questions on camera for a little bit and then moved offscreen to answer some more questions on the site. Give it a read if you have some burning questions that might have been answered!
We had a surprise call-in from Tifa, Mike and Xander Robles! The founder of Lady Planeswalker Society and co. had a lovely chat with us about LPS and communities in gaming. They also ran a giveaway for one of their fabled and highly exclusive playmats!
We auctioned off a chair…I mean there was a bunch of other things as well but we auctioned off a chair. Okay it also is a chair FROM THE INTERNATIONAL DOTA 2 CHAMPIONSHIPS and signed by the winners of the entire tournament, Wings Gaming. It was an auction that accelerated quickly and raised over $4000.00
Mikey Neumann called in and in typical fashion dropped one HECK of a Borderlands Auction bomb on us. Mikey raised a sizeable amount of money with his own personal RC Gentleman Claptrap and several pieces of original art.
OH AND WE HIT 3.5 MILLION DOLLARS RAISED LIFETIME!!!!!!!!!
We did it, I can’t believe we did it. Your donations have gotten us to a lifetime total $3,500,000! I can’t speak so I’m going to let some GIF’s do the talking.
