Why “drnobody”?
When LAN parties were a new thing back in the heady days of the early 90s, when playing Marathon you had to choose a name to show up on the network under. I once logged in with just a space for my name, causing a friend to exclaim, “Oh, we’ve got a real Doctor Nobody”, which stuck in my brain. The next game, I made it explicit, and kept the name until the iMac was released, which made iHorner seem a lot cooler.
